WOW Classic SOD: A Detailed Introduction of Fishing Activities.

Apr-10-2024

Fishing is one of the three secondary professions in WOW Classic. Fishing allows you to catch fish in the various waters of Azeroth. For example, Fishing is required for various Cooking recipes and Alchemy recipes. This WOW Classic Fishing guide provides a detailed introduction of fishing activities.

The Fishing in WOW SOD include: Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza and Kalu'ak Fishing Derby. The Fishing rules are to fish at a designated location and catch the designated fish within the specified time. Rewards are usually in-game items or achievements.

The following is detailed information about the Fishing:

Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza

The Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza is a Fishing activity held every Sunday from 2pm to 4pm (server time) on the coastline of Stranglethorn Vale for tournament. During the Fishing, a special school of "Speckled Tastyfish" will appear on the coastline of Stranglethorn Vale. Participants need to fish in these schools of fish, rather than ordinary fish in the Stranglethorn Vale waters.

The winning condition is to catch the most " Speckled Tastyfish" within 2 hours. The top three will receive rewards, such as:

Arcanite Fishing Pole - This is the very best fishing pole in the game and is usable at Fishing Level 300. It gives you +35 to fishing, which makes it incredibly valuable for fishing up difficult-to-catch fish in places such as the coast of Azshara.

Hook of the Master Angler- This trinket turns you into a fish and gives both water breathing and increased speed under water.

Even if you don't make it to the top three, as long as you catch rare fish during the competition, you can still sell them for a considerable amount of gold coins

Kalu'ak Fishing Derby

The Kalu'ak Fishing Derby is similar to the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza, running on Saturdays at 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM (server time) in Northrend. There is no level requirement, but you must be able to visit Daralan, since this is where you have to turn in the goal fish. Most players set their hearthstone to Dalaran, use a mage teleport, or use a Kirin Tor ring to teleport back.

Fishing rules: Players do not need to accept any tasks, they only need to start fishing at any fishing spot in Northrend during the Fishing to participate. The goal of the Fishing is to catch the rarest Blacktip Shark within a limited time. The first player to catch a Blacktip Shark will win the championship of the current week's Fishing, and the player will receive a Dread Pirate Ring as a reward that can experience gained from killing monsters and completing quests increased by 5%.  It is worth noting that catching a Blacktip Shark is purely luck and has nothing to do with fishing proficiency. However, using equipment and bait that can improve fishing skills may increase the chances of winning.

Reward content: There is only one winner, and whoever gets it wins the derby. There is a choice of two rewards: Dread Pirate Ring or Boots of the Bay . The winner will also receives 2,500 reputation with The Kalu'ak. This also contributes to the achievement Master Angler of Azeroth and contributes to Accomplished Angler Accomplished Angler. In addition to the championship reward, all participants can also hand over the caught fish to the NPC for some silver coins after the Fishing ends.

In addition to practical rewards, the Fishing also offers permanent achievements and titles to all participants. Becoming an Azeroth Fishing Master will undoubtedly add a lot of glory to you.

In general, the SoD fishing system brings great fun to fishing enthusiasts, and is also an important way to get rare equipment. Players should pay attention to the preparation, improve fishing skills and use good equipment to achieve good results in the competition.
