After one of the longest ladder cycles since Diablo II: Resurrected launched, Season 13 is finally on the horizon. For many players, the wait has felt long—but the grind is about to start again.
If Season 12 has started to feel repetitive—same routes, same builds, same stash full of runes—you're not alone. Ladder resets are when Diablo II truly comes alive, and Season 13 promises a fresh start for all players.
Here's everything you need to know about D2R Ladder Season 13, including official dates, how the reset works, and what the community hopes to see next.

Blizzard has confirmed the Season 13 ladder schedule:
Season 12 Ends: February 11, 2026, at 9:00 AM PST
Season 13 Begins: February 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM PST
When Season 12 ends, all ladder characters automatically convert to non-ladder. Items stored in the shared ladder stash won't disappear—they'll move to special withdraw-only tabs, accessible throughout Season 13.
Season 13 launches on a fresh ladder server. Everyone starts from level 1, with no gold, no items, and no shortcuts. The economy resets completely, which is why ladder starts are so exciting for veterans and newcomers alike.
Ladder seasons typically run around three months, though Blizzard sometimes extends them. Each reset brings three major changes:
All items, runes, and gold are wiped on ladder. Early drops regain value, mid-tier runes become important again, and trading becomes meaningful from day one.
Leveling races, early Hell clears, and the first Enigma or Infinity builds are part of the seasonal rush that non-ladder play cannot replicate.
Some runewords and mechanics—like Mosaic—are exclusive to ladder. To experience them as intended, ladder play is required.
The Mosaic Assassin has dominated D2R since its introduction. With dual Mosaic claws, charge-up skills never expire, resulting in massive damage, heavy visual effects, and FPS drops—especially during high-density farming.
Community feedback has been loud, and Season 13 may finally see balance adjustments. Suggested changes include:
Developers of the Chinese D2R version indicated Mosaic adjustments were "imminent," which suggests global changes may follow. A Mosaic nerf would not destroy the build but could allow other endgame setups to shine.
Blizzard hasn't revealed full patch notes, but fans are hoping for improvements like:
Stash space is always tight. Stackable runes, gems, and crafting materials would make inventory management much smoother.
Chinese D2R servers already offer extra stash tabs through in-game purchases. Datamined files show global clients have these files, making Season 13 an ideal time to unlock them worldwide.
Endgame farming can clutter the screen with countless drops. A simple loot filter to hide low-value items while highlighting rares, runes, and uniques would improve visibility without changing gameplay.
Whether any of these features appear in Season 13 remains to be seen—but expectations are high.
Every ladder reset reshapes the D2R economy.
Early in the season, even mid-tier items and lower runes carry value. As the ladder progresses, demand shifts toward high runes, perfect bases, and endgame uniques. Smart trading and resource planning can make the difference between a slow grind and fast progression.
Season 13 offers everyone a fresh start: a chance to plan better, optimize builds, and avoid past mistakes.
The gates reopen on February 20, 2026. New characters, fresh loot, and a fully reset economy await.
Whether you're chasing your first Enigma, testing new builds, or dominating the ladder race, Season 13 is the perfect opportunity to experience Diablo II in its purest form.
February 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM PST. Season 12 ends on February 11.
Ladder characters convert to non-ladder. Ladder stash items move to withdraw-only tabs.
Developers have hinted at balance changes, but no official global patch notes are confirmed yet.
Extra stash tabs exist in the Chinese version, and datamined files suggest they're ready for global release. Currency stacking is a top community request.
Classic normal/expert ladder, plus expansion normal/expert ladder, same as previous seasons.
