The Verisium Anvil can now be unlocked outside Runes of Aldur by completing The Runeseeker quest in Act 4, allowing Farrow to be placed in your Hideout for Kalguuran crafting.

Aldur's Saga remains exclusive to Runes of Aldur, while its special modifiers can still appear on Grand Expeditions in Standard and Forbidden Rites.

Unlock Expedition Before Stacking Tablets

First, complete The Runeseeker quest in Act 4 to unlock the Verisium Anvil.

• 3 Tablets: Adds another Kalguuran Expedition.
• 4 Tablets: Adds another Verisium Remnant and another 35% increased Expedition density.

Four Tablets therefore provide two additional Expedition encounters, two Verisium Remnants, and two 35% density increases.

Higher density adds more Chests, Monster Flags, and Verisium Remnants to the Expedition site, but also creates denser encounters.

How Many Tablets Should You Use?

For a character starting with Expedition, one Tablet is a good way to test a map without making a large investment.

Two Tablets add a Verisium Remnant and 35% increased Expedition density, making them a practical step up.

Once your build handles these encounters comfortably, you can experiment with three or four Tablets. If the extra content significantly slows your clear speed, the additional rewards may not be worthwhile.

Which Tablet Modifiers Are Worth Using?

Useful modifiers include:

• Increased Expedition Explosive Area of Effect
• Increased quantity of Logbooks from Runic Monsters
• Additional bosses encased in ice
• Additional Verisium Sentries

If you are farming Logbooks, prioritize modifiers that increase Logbook quantity. Increased explosive area of effect can also help builds that struggle to cover the Expedition site efficiently.

Additional Sentries and bosses can increase reward opportunities, but they also make encounters more dangerous. Choose modifiers that fit your build and farming goal.

How Maps and Logbooks Fit Together

Tablet-stacked maps are mainly used to generate more Expedition content and build up your supply of Logbooks.

Logbooks lead into dedicated Grand Expedition content rather than adding Expedition to an Atlas map.

The basic farming loop is:

Atlas maps → Expedition encounters → Logbooks → Grand Expeditions

You can save several Logbooks and run them together when you want to focus on dedicated Expedition farming.

Why Verisium Remnants Matter

Verisium Remnants add Runic modifier layers to Expedition monsters, increasing both reward potential and difficulty.

Patch 0.5.5 also allows multiple Verisium Sentries to apply Runic modifiers to the same monster, making heavily stacked encounters more dangerous.

Check the resulting modifiers before activating a Remnant. If the combination is difficult for your build, the extra reward may not justify the added risk.

Standard, Forbidden Rites, and Runes of Aldur

Standard and Forbidden Rites both have access to core Expedition and Expedition Tablets.

Runes of Aldur retains its league-specific progression, but Expedition Tablets do not drop there.
