Path of Exile 2’s 0.5.5 update adds a new map-farming loop built around Sacred Blooms, Viridian Wildwood, and Wisps. Use a Sacred Bloom to enter Wildwood, collect Wisps, then return to the map and turn that investment into stronger encounters and better reward potential.
The key is not simply collecting the most Wisps. Choosing the right map and route can make the entire run faster, safer, and more rewarding.

Sacred Blooms come from the Ritual-related endgame content introduced with the 0.5.5 system.
Since each Bloom is an additional map investment, it is better to save them for maps that are worth enhancing rather than using them immediately.
Use a Sacred Bloom on a map your build can already clear comfortably. Maps with good reward potential are generally better candidates for additional Wildwood investment.
Before starting, consider:
A safer map can often be more efficient than pushing a high-risk run too early.
After activating the Sacred Bloom, enter Viridian Wildwood and follow the Wisp trails.
Wildwood is mainly about route planning. You do not need to explore everything; focus on useful trails and avoid long detours that add little value.
Different Wisp types provide different forms of map investment, so choose your route based on what you want from the run.
You do not need to collect every Wisp type. Pick the routes that fit your build and farming target.
More Wisps are not always better.
If a trail takes too long to reach or makes the final map harder than your build can comfortably handle, the extra investment may reduce your overall efficiency.
A good rule is to balance:
The goal is to improve the run, not maximize one number.
After finishing your Wildwood route, return to the main map and continue clearing.
The Wisps you collected now affect the map's encounters, increasing their difficulty and reward potential.
At this stage, focus on clear speed and consistency. If the empowered monsters become too difficult, reduce your investment on the next run instead of forcing the same setup.
Ritual Tablets can add another layer of investment to the run.
They make more sense when your build already handles the map comfortably. If your character is still developing, stacking heavy Wisp and Ritual investment can slow the run down too much.
Start with manageable investment and increase it as your build improves.
Use this basic routine for most runs:
As your build becomes stronger, you can gradually increase your Wildwood investment.
Using a Bloom on a poor map: Save it for maps with better farming potential.
Chasing every Wisp trail: Long detours can waste more time than the extra Wisps are worth.
Over-investing too early: Heavy investment can make the map inefficient if your build is not ready.
Ignoring your farming goal: Choose Wisp routes based on the rewards you actually want.
Treating Wildwood as separate content: The real payoff comes from returning to the map and clearing the empowered encounters.
The most effective approach is to balance Wisp investment, map difficulty, and clear time.
Choose a map your build can handle, take efficient Wisp routes, and increase your investment gradually. This keeps Sacred Bloom runs useful without turning every map into an unnecessarily difficult clear.
