Diablo 4 Season 15 War Plans: Shared Reputation and Partition Rules

War Plans became a major endgame progression system with the Lord of Hatred expansion. In Season 15, eligible characters on the same account can now share War Plans progress.

The key requirement is that characters must belong to the same partition. Each character still has its own War Plans planner, so players can customize their progression separately.

For players with multiple characters, this means less repeated reputation grinding and a smoother alt progression experience.

What Account Sharing Means in Season 15

Starting with Season of Hell's Legacy, War Plans reputation progress can be shared between characters on the same account when they belong to the same partition.

The shared progression includes:

• War Plans reputation levels
• War Plans progression
• Points unlocked through that progression

Each character still has its own planner.

This means different characters can benefit from the same progression while choosing different nodes for their own builds and activities.

Shared reputation, separate planners.

An eligible alt therefore does not need to rebuild its War Plans reputation from the beginning.

The Three War Plans Partitions

Blizzard uses three categories to determine whether characters can share War Plans progress:

• Seasonal or Eternal
• Non-Hardcore or Hardcore
• Normal or Solo Self-Found

Characters must match in all three categories to share their War Plans progression.

For example, a Seasonal, Non-Hardcore, non-SSF character can share progress with another character using the same settings.

An SSF, Hardcore, or Eternal character belongs to a different partition and will not share that progress.

How Shared War Plans Help With Alts

The biggest benefit is simple: eligible alts no longer need to repeat the full War Plans reputation grind.

Characters in the same partition can share their War Plans progression, while each character keeps a separate planner for choosing its own nodes.

This saves time on reputation and lets players focus more on leveling, gearing, and endgame activities.

Prime Evil Splinters and War Plans Activities

Season 15 also connects War Plans progression with different endgame activities through the Prime Evil Splinter system.

The three Splinter paths are:

• Splinter of Terror (Diablo): Helltides and Infernal Hordes
• Splinter of Destruction (Baal): Kurast Undercity and Lair Bosses
• Splinter of Hatred (Mephisto): The Pit and Nightmare Dungeons

These paths give players different activity options when progressing through War Plans.

However, the activity path a character follows does not change the account-sharing rules.

Characters still need to belong to the same partition to share War Plans progress, while their individual planners can be configured separately.

Season 14 Carryover and Hardcore Rules

Season 14 War Plans progress carried over to Eternal based on the same partition system. At the end of the season, War Plans points from characters in the same partition were combined and transferred to the corresponding Eternal partition.

Hardcore Transfer Rules

Hardcore characters have an additional rule: only living characters could transfer their War Plans progress at the end of Season 14. Dead characters could not transfer their own points.

Starting with Season 15, a dead Hardcore character's progress can still carry over if another living Hardcore character in the same partition survives the seasonal rollover. This can even be a Level 1 storage character.

This gives Hardcore players a simple way to preserve their partition's War Plans progress without maintaining another fully developed character.

S15 War Plans XP Rewards Have Been Increased

Shared progression is not the only War Plans change in Season 15.

Patch 3.2.1 also increased War Plans experience rewards, with stronger scaling at higher Torment levels.

At Torment X and above, the baseline Experience Orbs awarded from any War Plans node increased from 2 to 4.

Experience reward nodes also received increases across several rarities:

• Magic Experience nodes
• Rare Experience nodes
• Legendary Experience nodes
• Mythic Experience nodes

This makes higher-Torment War Plans progression more rewarding for characters that can clear those difficulties efficiently.

It is important to separate this from other Season 15 reward changes.

War Plans received XP improvements, not a dedicated Gold bonus.

Whisper Caches and other systems have their own reward adjustments, so those changes should not be presented as part of the War Plans Gold system.

Gear Up Your S15 Alts

Shared War Plans progression can save time on reputation, but new characters still need the right gear and resources to push higher Torment levels.

4. Use each alt's separate planner for its own build.
5. Push higher-Torment War Plans nodes when you can clear them efficiently.

The key advantage is that eligible characters can share the reputation grind while keeping their own War Plans setups.

This gives each eligible alt more freedom to focus on its own gear, build, and endgame activities without rebuilding the shared War Plans progression.
