What Is Chaos Armor in Diablo 4 Season 10?

Chaos Armor is a special variant of Diablo 4 Unique items. Unlike their original forms, these Uniques can appear in different gear slots. For example, the Fists of Fate, normally gloves, may instead drop as a helm when obtained as Chaos Armor. This adds more flexibility when building your character around specific Diablo 4 uniques.

Chaos Armor versions are stronger than their originals, always featuring Greater Affixes and boosted attributes. For instance, the standard Banished Lord's Talisman provides +60% Critical Damage, while its Chaos Armor counterpart boosts it to +72%. However, you cannot equip both the original Unique item and its Chaos Armor version at the same time, as duplicates of the same effect are not allowed.

How to Obtain Chaos Armor in Diablo 4 Season 10

The main method of Diablo 4 Chaos Armor farming is through Chaos Rifts, which appear in Helltides, Nightmare Dungeons, and even randomly across Sanctuary. These rifts spawn hordes of enemies that must be defeated for rewards, with Mythic Chaos Rifts on Torment difficulty offering the best chances to drop Chaos Armor.

 

Another key source is Boss Bartuc, the new Infernal Hordes boss in Season 10. Requiring Burning Aether to challenge, Bartuc drops some of the best loot in the game, including Chaos Armor. Group farming is highly efficient since rewards are not reduced, making him a top priority for players seeking Chaos Uniques.
