Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0: The Last of the Druids Arrives December 12

The long-awaited Druid class finally arrives in Path of Exile 2 this December! The next major update, Patch 0.4.0: The Last of the Druids, is launching on the December 12 for both PC and consoles at the same time.
Before the patch goes live, GGG will reveal the full details during a GGG Live stream on December 4.
The Druid Joins the Fight
GGG has released a new teaser trailer, giving players the first official look at the Druid's werewolf form. Many fans also believe the voiceover in the teaser might belong to the Druid himself, something we'll likely find out during the December 4 reveal.
This marks the second new class added during early access, following the Huntress in 0.2.0. Patch 0.3.0 then focused on the Support Gem overhaul and added Act 4 plus a temporary Act 5. Now, Patch 0.4.0 finally brings the next big step for character variety.
Who Can Play Patch 0.4.0?
Path of Exile 2 is still in early access and usually requires a paid key starting at $30.
However, to celebrate the launch of Patch 0.4.0, GGG is hosting another free weekend—open to all players on every platform. No key required.

December 12 (3 PM) → December 15 (3 PM)
This mirrors Patch 0.3.0's free weekend, which turned out to be one of the smoothest launches in GGG's history. Players are hoping Patch 0.4 repeats that success.
Will There Be a Second Class?
Rumors about a second new class continue to circulate, mostly because some players expected Druid to arrive in 0.3.0. For now, there's no real sign that two classes will drop at once—so expectations should stay grounded.
As for other features, players are still hoping for new weapon types (yes, swords are a popular guess), but nothing has been confirmed yet.
