Elden Ring Grave Glovewort Locations: Bell Bearings and the +8 Upgrade Route

Upgrading a standard Spirit Ash to +8 in Elden Ring requires Grave Glovewort [1]–[8]. You can collect these materials in Catacombs or unlock unlimited purchases by finding all three Glovewort Picker's Bell Bearings.

This guide covers the Bell Bearing locations, useful Grave Glovewort pickups, and Roderika's Spirit Tuning. These upgrades are also part of Bandai Namco's Path of the Elden Lord community quest, running from November 2 to 28, 2026, with a target of 100,000 standard Spirit Ashes upgraded to +8.

Grave Glovewort vs. Ghost Glovewort

Elden Ring has two separate Spirit Ash upgrade systems. Make sure you collect the correct material for your summon.

Standard summons include Lone Wolf Ashes and Spirit Jellyfish Ashes. Renowned summons include Mimic Tear and Black Knife Tiche.

Check Roderika's Spirit Tuning menu if you are unsure which material a summon needs.

The November community objective specifically requires standard Spirit Ashes. Upgrading Mimic Tear or another renowned summon does not count toward the standard-ash target.

Grave Glovewort Required for +8

Each upgrade requires one flower matching the next level. To take a standard Spirit Ash from +0 to +8, you need Grave Glovewort [1] through [8], one of each grade.

After unlocking the relevant Bell Bearings, you can buy all eight flowers from the Twin Maiden Husks for a total of 24,200 Runes.

This is the full purchase cost if you start without any materials. Flowers collected from Catacombs reduce the amount you need to spend.

You do not need Grave Glovewort [9] or Great Grave Glovewort for a +8 summon. Grave Glovewort [9] is used for +9, while Great Grave Glovewort is required for +10.

How to Unlock Roderika's Spirit Tuning

Roderika is the NPC who upgrades Spirit Ashes. You must complete her dialogue with Smithing Master Hewg at Roundtable Hold before she offers Spirit Tuning.

First, speak to Roderika at Stormhill Shack in Limgrave and exhaust her dialogue. She gives you the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes.

There are two ways to get her to Roundtable Hold:

• Chrysalids' Memento route: Find the Chrysalids' Memento in Stormveil Castle and give it to Roderika at Stormhill Shack. She will move to Roundtable Hold and reward you with a Golden Seed.
• Automatic move: If you defeat Godrick or rest at a Site of Grace in Liurnia of the Lakes before completing her initial dialogue, Roderika moves to Roundtable Hold automatically. The Golden Seed is left at the shack.

Once she arrives, complete these conversations:

1. Speak to Roderika near the fireplace at Roundtable Hold.
2. Talk to Smithing Master Hewg and select About Roderika.
3. Return to Roderika and tell her what Hewg said.
4. Speak to Hewg again. Select About Roderika, then Would you watch over Roderika?, followed by It's what she wants.
5. Reload Roundtable Hold.

Roderika will then sit opposite Hewg in the blacksmith's room and offer Spirit Tuning. Return to her whenever you need to upgrade a summon.

All Three Glovewort Picker's Bell Bearing Locations

Give each Glovewort Picker's Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold. Each one unlocks unlimited purchases of three additional Grave Glovewort grades.

Bell Bearing [1]: Wyndham Catacombs

Unlocks: Grave Glovewort [1], [2], and [3]

Location: Wyndham Catacombs, near Wyndham Ruins in the Altus Plateau.

Enter Wyndham Catacombs and progress through the dungeon until you reach the boss room. Defeat the lightning-attuned Erdtree Burial Watchdog to receive Glovewort Picker's Bell Bearing [1].

The dungeon also contains Grave Glovewort [4] and [5], so check its side passages before leaving.

Bell Bearing [2]: Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs

Unlocks: Grave Glovewort [4], [5], and [6]

Location: Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs, Mountaintops of the Giants.

Reach the Catacombs near the Zamor Ruins area and work through the dungeon's multiple levels. The route to the boss lever involves using lifts and dropping into lower sections.

Defeat the Ulcerated Tree Spirit at the end to obtain Glovewort Picker's Bell Bearing [2].

This dungeon also contains Grave Glovewort [7], [8], and [9]. Check its lower sections for these pickups before leaving.

Bell Bearing [3]: Crumbling Farum Azula

Unlocks: Grave Glovewort [7], [8], and [9]

Location: Under a gazebo beside a lake in Crumbling Farum Azula.

Unlike the first two Bell Bearings, this one is collected from a corpse rather than dropped by a boss.

Follow this route:

1. Start at the Crumbling Beast Grave Depths Site of Grace.
2. Leave the building through the northwestern exit.
3. Take the elevator outside down to the lower area.
4. Head toward the lake on the southeastern side of the map.
5. At the gap, use the nearby ladder and floating rocks to reach the other side.
6. Find the gazebo beside the water and loot the corpse underneath it.

Be prepared for dangerous enemies around the lake. If you only need the Bell Bearing, prioritize reaching the corpse.

Return to Roundtable Hold and give it to the Twin Maiden Husks to unlock unlimited purchases of Grave Glovewort [7], [8], and [9].

Grave Glovewort [1]–[8] Locations in the Base Game

If you prefer collecting materials instead of buying every flower, the following Catacombs provide useful fixed pickups. These flowers do not respawn after collection.

Limgrave and Weeping Peninsula: Grave Glovewort [1]–[2]

Murkwater Catacombs: Grave Glovewort [1].

Stormfoot Catacombs: Six Grave Glovewort [1].

Deathtouched Catacombs: Five Grave Glovewort [1].

Impaler's Catacombs: Three Grave Glovewort [1] and three Grave Glovewort [2].

Tombsward Catacombs: Three Grave Glovewort [1] and two Grave Glovewort [2].

Liurnia of the Lakes: Grave Glovewort [2]–[4]

Road's End Catacombs: Three Grave Glovewort [2] and two Grave Glovewort [3].

Cliffbottom Catacombs: Four Grave Glovewort [2] and four Grave Glovewort [3].

Black Knife Catacombs: Grave Glovewort [3] and [4].

Caelid and Mt. Gelmir: Grave Glovewort [3]–[6]

Caelid Catacombs: Two Grave Glovewort [3], three Grave Glovewort [4], and two Grave Glovewort [5].

Minor Erdtree Catacombs: Grave Glovewort [3] and [4].

Wyndham Catacombs: Two Grave Glovewort [4] and two Grave Glovewort [5].

War-Dead Catacombs: Grave Glovewort [6].

War-Dead Catacombs is in the battlefield where you fight Starscourge Radahn. You must defeat Radahn before entering.

Mt. Gelmir and Mountaintops of the Giants: Grave Glovewort [7]

Gelmir Hero's Grave: Multiple Grave Glovewort [7] pickups, including flowers in the second hall with the rolling chariot.

Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave: Grave Glovewort [7].

Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs: Grave Glovewort [7].

Mountaintops of the Giants, Leyndell, and Consecrated Snowfield: Grave Glovewort [8]

Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs: Grave Glovewort [8].

Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave: Grave Glovewort [8].

Leyndell Catacombs: Grave Glovewort [8].

Consecrated Snowfield Catacombs: Grave Glovewort [8].

Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs is especially useful because it contains Grave Glovewort [7], [8], and [9]. Leyndell Catacombs is another option if you have reached the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds.

Consecrated Snowfield Catacombs also contains Grave Glovewort [9]. Defeating its Putrid Grave Warden Duelist rewards a Great Grave Glovewort.

DLC note: Shadow of the Erdtree adds further Grave Glovewort pickups in areas such as Stone Coffin Fissure and the Cerulean Coast. The locations above focus on the base game.

The Shortest Route to a +8 Standard Spirit Ash

You do not need to clear every Catacomb to complete the November community objective. Focus on these three tasks:

1. Unlock Roderika's Spirit Tuning: Complete her dialogue with Hewg at Roundtable Hold.
2. Obtain all three Bell Bearings: Unlock unlimited purchases of Grave Glovewort [1]–[9].
3. Finish the upgrade: Check your inventory, buy any missing grades, and return to Roderika to upgrade a standard Spirit Ash to +8.

You can also collect dungeon pickups along the way to reduce the Rune cost. If you still need Runes, use a farming route or check available Elden Ring Runes to save time.

Important Upgrade Details

Grave Glovewort pickups in the world do not respawn.

The three Glovewort Picker's Bell Bearings unlock unlimited purchases of Grave Glovewort [1]–[9], but not Great Grave Glovewort.

Standard Spirit Ashes use Grave Glovewort, while renowned Spirit Ashes use Ghost Glovewort.

For the Path of the Elden Lord challenge, prioritize the three Bell Bearings and use the Twin Maiden Husks to fill any gaps in your materials. This is more efficient than clearing every Catacomb just to collect one flower of each grade.
