Elden Ring Legendary Talismans Guide: All 8 Locations

category:Elden Ring

The Legendary Talismans achievement in Elden Ring requires you to collect eight specific talismans from the base game. Talismans added in Shadow of the Erdtree do not count toward this achievement.

Some older guides contain incorrect item names, effects, or locations. This guide covers all eight required talismans, including their effects, exact locations, and practical collection routes.

Elden Ring Legendary Talismans: All 8 Locations

1. Radagon Icon

Effect: Shortens the casting time of sorceries and incantations. It provides the equivalent of 30 virtual Dexterity for casting speed without increasing your actual Dexterity stat.

Location: Academy of Raya Lucaria, Liurnia of the Lakes.

How to get it:

Defeat the Red Wolf of Radagon and reach the Debate Parlor Site of Grace.

Head outside into the courtyard and turn right.

Jump over the railing onto the nearby ledge, then climb the ladder.

Enter the building through the broken window.

Follow the upper walkway around to a chest containing the Radagon Icon.

Who benefits most: Spellcasters who want to reduce casting time, especially builds that rely on slower sorceries or incantations. It is useful for improving spell responsiveness without spending additional attribute points on Dexterity.

2. Radagon's Soreseal

Effect: Increases Vigor, Endurance, Strength, and Dexterity by 5 points each, but also increases damage taken by 15%.

Location: Fort Faroth, Dragonbarrow, Caelid.

How to get it:

Enter Fort Faroth from the northwest entrance.

Climb the ladder to reach the upper ramparts.

Move past the hanging soldiers and drop through the opening in the floor.

Continue through the lower section, avoiding the large rats.

Find the corpse deeper inside the fort to collect Radagon's Soreseal.

Important: Do not confuse Radagon's Soreseal with Radagon's Scarseal. Only the Soreseal counts toward the Legendary Talismans achievement.

Who benefits most: Builds that need extra Strength, Dexterity, Endurance, or Vigor to meet equipment requirements or reach important attribute breakpoints. However, the 15% damage penalty can make difficult fights more dangerous, particularly if your character has low Vigor.

3. Godfrey Icon

Effect: Increases the damage of charged sorceries, incantations, and compatible weapon skills by 15%.

Location: Golden Lineage Evergaol, southern Altus Plateau.

How to get it:

Travel to the Golden Lineage Evergaol in southern Altus Plateau.

Use two Stonesword Keys to open the Evergaol.

Defeat Godefroy the Grafted to receive the Godfrey Icon.

Who benefits most: Builds that regularly use charged spells or weapon skills. It is less useful for characters who mainly rely on quick attacks or abilities that cannot be charged.

4. Moon of Nokstella

Effect: Adds two memory slots, allowing you to equip more sorceries and incantations.

Location: Nokstella, Eternal City.

How to get it:

Progress through Ranni's questline to gain access to Nokstella, Eternal City.

From the Nokstella, Eternal City Site of Grace, head west and climb the stairs.

Follow the path lined with statues and continue through the upper section of the city.

Enter the church-like building guarded by enemies.

Defeat or bypass the enemies and open the chest inside to obtain the Moon of Nokstella.

Who benefits most: Spellcasters who need more memory slots for offensive, defensive, and utility spells. It is particularly useful for builds that regularly switch between several different sorceries or incantations.

5. Marika's Soreseal

Effect: Increases Mind, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane by 5 points each, but also increases damage taken by 15%.

Location: Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree.

How to get it:

Reach Elphael and start from the Prayer Room Site of Grace.

Follow the route toward the lower levels of the area, dropping down through the platforms.

Continue until you reach a sealed room with an imp statue.

Use two Stonesword Keys to unlock the entrance.

Enter the room and collect Marika's Soreseal from the altar.

Royal Revenants may make this area dangerous, so prepare for a fight before entering the room.

Important: Marika's Soreseal is different from Marika's Scarseal. The Soreseal is the one required for the achievement.

Who benefits most: Intelligence, Faith, or Arcane-focused builds that need additional attribute points. The extra Mind can also help characters with higher FP demands. However, the 15% damage penalty is a significant trade-off, so this talisman is not automatically the best choice for every build.

6. Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman

Effect: Greatly increases physical damage negation. In PvE, it provides approximately 20% additional physical damage negation.

Location: Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree.

How to get it:

Start from the Drainage Channel Site of Grace.

Follow the nearby branches and pillars toward the building with a hole in its roof.

Cross the branches and stone platforms until you reach the roof opening.

Drop through the opening and land on a wooden beam inside the building.

Move west and drop down to the platform containing a chest.

Open the chest to collect the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman. Several Kindreds of Rot guard this area, so you can defeat them first or use ranged attacks to clear the path.

Who benefits most: Melee characters and players who need stronger protection against physical attacks. It is especially useful against bosses and enemies that deal heavy physical damage, making it a strong defensive option for many endgame builds.

7. Old Lord's Talisman

Effect: Extends the duration of sorceries, incantations, and other compatible spell effects.

Location: Crumbling Farum Azula.

How to get it:

Start from the Beside the Great Bridge Site of Grace.

Head north along the Great Bridge, away from the Beast Clergyman boss entrance.

Continue until you reach a balcony with a ladder.

Climb down the ladder and enter the nearby room.

Open the chest inside to obtain Old Lord's Talisman.

Depending on your progress, Recusant Bernahl may invade in this area. Be prepared for the encounter if it triggers.

Who benefits most: Builds that depend on temporary buffs or other effects with limited durations. Extending these effects can reduce how often you need to recast them during exploration and boss fights.

8. Erdtree's Favor +2

Effect: Increases maximum HP by 4%, stamina by 10%, and maximum equip load by 8%.

Location: Leyndell, Ashen Capital. This version becomes available after defeating Maliketh, the Black Blade, and turning Leyndell into the Ashen Capital.

How to get it:

Start from the Forbidden Lands Site of Grace and head north toward the capital.

Take the elevator up to the Capital Outskirts.

Continue north along the bridge and take the next elevator down into Leyndell, Ashen Capital.

Enter the ash-covered courtyard where three Ulcerated Tree Spirits guard the area.

Look for the talisman on a large tree root in the ash dunes.

The Ulcerated Tree Spirits can be dangerous, but you do not need to defeat all three to collect the talisman. You can run past them and reach the item if you move carefully.

Who benefits most: Almost any build that needs a combination of extra HP, stamina, and equip load. Its balanced bonuses make it a flexible choice for many endgame setups.

Quick Tips for Collecting All 8 Legendary Talismans

  • Collect the earlier talismans first: Radagon Icon and Radagon's Soreseal can be obtained before reaching the late-game areas. Pick them up while exploring Liurnia and Caelid.
  • Collect both Elphael talismans together: Marika's Soreseal and Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman are both located in Elphael. Getting them during the same visit saves time.
  • Leave Erdtree's Favor +2 until the endgame: You cannot obtain it until after defeating Maliketh and accessing Leyndell, Ashen Capital.
  • You do not need to equip the talismans: Simply collecting all eight required items is enough to unlock the achievement.
  • Co-op drops are another option: Another player can drop eligible talismans for you in multiplayer. This can save you the trouble of finding every item yourself.

Once all eight required talismans have been collected, the Legendary Talismans achievement or trophy will unlock.
