Diablo Immortal Class Guide - Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Necromancer, Monk & Wizard
The long-awaited Diablo Immortal comes, and it will officially land on Android, IOS, and PC on June 2. Killing monsters in Diablo games will never go out of date, the feel-it-in-your-bones punch and kinetic energy of combat have always been one of the series’ strongest attributes, and Immortal is no exception. Before you're ready to join the immortal demon-slaying action, you should study each class in the game first, as it will determine your strengths and weaknesses throughout the game. In this guide, we will introduce you to the details of each class in Diablo Immortal.
There are six classes In Diablo Immortal, namely, Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Necromancer, Monk, and Wizard. Although each class player can choose, the six classes are different from each other because they are designed to adapt to a variety of playstyles. In terms of specific activities and playstyles, some of them are better than others.
In Diablo Immortal, Barbarians primarily deal area-of-effect damage, which means their single target damage isn't that great. However, if you want to get in and among the melee, and give the demons of hell a bloody, hand-to-hand fight, this is the class for you.
The class skills highlight: Hammer of the Ancients, Whirlwind, and Wrath of the Berserker.
The Crusader is Diablo Immortal's most versatile class. They deal strong area-of-effect (AoE) melee damage, can buff themselves and their allies, and can even ride their steed around the battlefield for unparalleled mobility. They're also the tankiest class of the bunch, allowing them to take hits that would kill other classes. However, they have no range and don't have the same burst impact you'll get with a more specialized class.
The class skills highlight: Condemn, Draw and Quarter, and Shield Charge.
The Demon Hunter is the glass cannon of the Diablo Immortal class list. If you like to deal damage, this is the character for you, as they can dish out some of the most high-powered attacks in the entire game. If there are a lot of enemies on the field, you'll be seeing a whole lot of big numbers coming out of their heads.
The class skills highlight: Impale, Multishot, and Rain of Vengeance.
The Necromancer in Diablo Immortal continues to support the franchise's narrative of a summon-heavy class supported by curse and debuff abilities. The Necromancer can raise corpses as undead skeleton allies and can dish out strong single-target and AoE damage from range. With that said, they also have very little health and mobility, making them a glass cannon, the ability to spawn squads of minions helps offset these weaknesses. In both PvE and PvP, skilled Necro players will thrive by supporting their raid or battleground team through smart use of crowd-control and minion-based abilities.
The class skills highlight: Skeletal Mage, Command Skeletons, and Corpse Explosion.
The Monk is a melee damage/support hybrid that excels at chipping foes down and providing buffs to nearby allies, while also avoiding damage with their exceptional mobility. They don't have a ton of health and don't deal the greatest damage, either, but the boosts they provide make Monks strong in group settings.
The class skills highlight: Exploding Palm, Fists of Thunder, and Seven-Sided Strike.
The Wizard is similar to Demon Hunter in that they attack from a range. While the Demon Hunter is all about single-target DPS, Wizards excel at nuking groups of trash mobs with lethal AoE magic. They also have decent mobility like Demon Hunters do, though they lack the ability to use their magic while moving.
The class skills highlight: Disintegrate, Magic Missile, and Teleport.
