All Ladder Modes in Season 12 Explained

Season 12 will feature four different ladder modes, similar to previous resets:

Pre-Expansion Ladder – Standard ladder play across the original four acts.

Pre-Expansion Hardcore Ladder – Hardcore version (only one life) across four acts.

Ladder – Standard ladder play across five acts, including the Lord of Destruction expansion.

Hardcore Ladder – Hardcore version (only one life) across all five acts with expansion content.

What Happens to Your Season 11 Characters and Items

For those new to Ladder Seasons, you might be wondering what happens to your Shared Stash loot once the current season ends. As with every ladder reset, your previous characters and d2r items will move to non-ladder:

1. Season 11 characters will be transferred to the non-ladder group.

2. Items in your Shared Stash will move into a "Withdraw Only" tab.

3. You'll need to manually remove items from that tab during the new season if you want to keep them permanently.

4. Be careful: items left in a Withdraw Only tab from two seasons ago (Season 10) will be deleted forever at the end of Season 11.
