In the late game of Diablo II: Resurrected, gold becomes insufficient. Are you willing to gamble on amulets?

Jan-26-2024

Diablo II: Resurrected features many equipment with purposes similar to the old version. Aside from common sets, unique items, and runeword-equipped items, pay attention to magic and rare items with specific attributes. Some optimal combinations for certain gameplay styles involve blue or rare items. In the upcoming guide, we'll delve into the valuable attributes of yellow quality items, focusing on rings, amulets, boots, necklaces, jewels, and more.

Unique amulets, distinct from other types of helmets, possess unique affixes that can only appear on amulets. Common amulet types include Circlets, Coronets, Tiara, and Diadem, easily recognizable due to their circular design. There's a chance to find yellow quality amulets while slaying monsters, but the primary method in the later stages is gambling (for characters level 92 and above). However, this method consumes a significant amount of gold, so it's advisable to create a character specifically for wealth accumulation.

Yellow amulets can have up to six affixes, consisting of 3 prefixes and 3 suffixes (although it can be fewer). Getting 5 valuable affixes simultaneously is already quite rare. The variety of affix types, each with variable ranges, requires consideration of the amulet's primary attributes and additional affixes.

Taking the example of a late-game Necromancer's ideal yellow amulet:

+2 Necromancer Skill Levels (prefix), 2 sockets (prefix) as yellow Diadems can only have 1 socket naturally through a quest in Act V, +20% Faster Cast Rate (suffix).

Additional affixes: Life, Mana, Strength, Dexterity, Resistances, Faster Hit Recovery, Reduced Poison Duration, etc.

Different playstyles have varying requirements for specific attributes on yellow amulets. Under the premise of 3 prefixes and 3 suffixes, aim for attributes that significantly enhance the chosen playstyle or complement other equipment slots. The impact of having 2 sockets or no sockets (requiring a quest for 1 socket) on the overall value is substantial.

For instance, this amulet could serve as transitional gear for an Amazon, with the following attributes: Prefixes +2 Amazon Skill Levels, 30% Enhanced Damage, 2 sockets; Suffixes +30% Faster Run/Walk, +8% Mana Leech, +20 Dexterity. However, encountering a situation where all 6 affixes are highly useful is extremely rare, and even if it does happen, it's like a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence.
