BlizzCon 2026 takes place on September 12–13, with Diablo featured across several panels. Blizzard has confirmed Diablo: Developer Update and Diablo IV: What's Next, while more details about the future of Sanctuary are expected during the event.

For Diablo 4 players, BlizzCon is particularly important because the 3.2.0 PTR has already previewed several Season 15 features, while Blizzard has confirmed that additional Season 15 content will be revealed at BlizzCon.

Diablo 4 BlizzCon 2026 Schedule & Season 15

These are the main Diablo-related events to watch:

Panel Date Time (PT)
Opening Ceremony 12-Sep 10:15 a.m.

For Diablo 4 specifically, Diablo IV: What's Next on September 13 is the key panel to watch. Blizzard says the development team will preview upcoming content and features.

What We Know About Diablo 4 Season 15

Blizzard's 3.2.0 PTR ran from August 4 to August 11 and provided an early look at several systems being considered for the next season.

The main features tested included:

  • Soul Splinters – New socketable items for jewelry that provide bonuses alongside drawbacks.
  • Rebirth – Converts an Eternal character into a level 1 Seasonal character while retaining its class, name, appearance, and cosmetic preferences.
  • Horadric Post – A new system for delivering rewards, supplies, messages, and commemorative items to players.
  • Challenge Dungeons – A new dungeon activity tested on the PTR.
  • Overland Ambushes – New open-world encounters.
  • Legacy Uniques – Classic-inspired Unique items returning to Diablo 4.
  • Mythic and Unique Charms – New Charm options also tested during the PTR.

These are PTR features rather than a final list of Season 15 content, so some mechanics, values, or features can still change before release.

Soul Splinters Add New Build Choices

Soul Splinters are one of the more notable systems tested for Season 15. They can be socketed into jewelry and come in Common, Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Unique rarities. They can also be upgraded through the Horadric Cube.

Their main feature is the trade-off between bonuses and drawbacks. For example, one Splinter can increase Gold, crafting material, and Experience gains while making the character permanently Weakened and Vulnerable. Another can increase damage while also increasing damage taken.

This system could give Season 15 builds another way to balance offensive power against defensive or utility costs.

Rebirth Changes How Players Start a Season

Rebirth lets players turn an existing Eternal character into a Seasonal character instead of creating a completely new character.

The character returns to level 1 while keeping its class, name, appearance, and cosmetic preferences. Before using Rebirth, however, players must remove their gear and items. Anything left behind will be lost.

When Could Diablo 4 Season 15 Start?

September 15, 2026 is currently one of the leading expectations for the start of Season 15, but Blizzard has not officially confirmed the date in its current announcements.

With BlizzCon taking place on September 12–13 and Blizzard confirming that more Season 15 information will be revealed there, the event should provide a clearer picture of the final launch timing.

Until Blizzard announces the date directly, September 15 should be treated as an expected date, not a confirmed release date.

Diablo 4 BlizzCon 2026 Twitch Drops

Blizzard is also offering Diablo 4 Twitch Drops during BlizzCon.

From September 12 at 10:00 a.m. PT through September 15 at 9:59 a.m. PT, players can earn cosmetic rewards by watching Diablo IV streams:

  • 2 hours: Serrated Skean Dagger
  • 4 hours: Corroded Cleaver Axe
  • 6 hours: Tintinnabulation Two-Handed Mace

A separate BlizzCon Diablo Twitch Badge will also be available from September 12 through September 26. Unlike the viewing rewards, the badge requires players to purchase one subscription to a creator streaming in a Diablo category during the event period.

What To Watch For At BlizzCon

The 3.2.0 PTR has already shown several systems planned or tested for the next season, but it does not represent everything coming to Diablo 4.

The main focus for Season 15 will be the information Blizzard has held back for BlizzCon, including any new features, changes made after PTR testing, and the official launch timing.

For now, the most important Diablo 4 event to watch is Diablo IV: What's Next on September 13 at 11:00 a.m. PT.
