Aion 2's Trick or Treat Halloween event offers Pumpkin Coins through daily attendance and weekly missions, while dungeon runs provide Candy Key Fragments for special rewards.

The event ends before November 3, 2026, in North America and November 4 in Europe. Players can earn up to 1,325 Pumpkin Coins by claiming all attendance rewards and completing three weeks of missions. Check item expiration dates before the event ends.

Aion 2 Halloween Event Guide: Rewards and How to Get Them

When Does the Aion 2 Halloween Event End?

Trick or Treat ends with scheduled maintenance, not at midnight on the final calendar date.

  • North America: Before maintenance on November 3, 2026.
  • Europe: Before maintenance on November 4, 2026.

The event begins after maintenance on October 13 in North America and October 14 in Europe.

Halloween Pumpkin Coins are event currency, separate from regular Kina. Exchange them at temporary Coin Merchants in Elyos and Asmodian areas.

Attendance rewards reset at 12:00 AM PDT, equivalent to 9:00 AM CEST during the relevant period. Find the rewards under Attendance → Trick or Treat. Weekly missions are available through Season Mission → Event.

How to Earn Halloween Pumpkin Coins

There are two main sources of Pumpkin Coins: daily attendance and weekly event missions. Completing both is the best way to build up your balance.

Daily Attendance Rewards

The 14-day attendance track offers:

  • Days 1–6: 35 coins per day, for 210 coins.
  • Day 7: 100 coins.
  • Days 8–13: 35 coins per day, for 210 coins.
  • Day 14: 100 coins.

Total: 620 Pumpkin Coins.

That is enough to buy the 250-coin Special Halloween Chest and still have coins left for other rewards.

Open the Attendance menu and claim each reward rather than assuming the coins will be collected automatically.

Weekly Event Missions

Ten missions provide 235 Pumpkin Coins per week. They reset once per week per server.

  • Log in three times: 30 coins
  • Hunt 10 monsters in the Abyss: 25 coins
  • Clear Transcendence: 25 coins
  • Clear Expedition Conquest: 25 coins
  • Clear Ascension Trial: 25 coins
  • Clear Nightmare: 25 coins
  • Obtain one piece of Unique gear: 20 coins
  • Use five scrolls: 20 coins
  • Participate in Dimensional Invasion: 20 coins
  • Participate in Shugo Festival: 20 coins

Most objectives can be completed alongside regular progression. Prioritize dungeon runs and routine activities, then check which missions remain unfinished. Obtaining Unique gear may take longer, depending on your drops.

Three weekly mission cycles provide another 705 coins. Combined with the 620 attendance coins, that brings the theoretical maximum to 1,325 Pumpkin Coins.

Which Halloween Rewards Should You Buy?

Coin Merchants can be found at these locations:

  • Elyos: Dawn Legion Base and Zumion Village in Verteron.
  • Asmodians: Safe Haven and Nornir Assembly in Altgard.

The merchant sells cosmetics, progression resources, consumables, and dungeon tickets. Your best choices depend on your level and current needs.

Check the required level and purchase limit before spending your coins.

Is the Special Halloween Chest Worth 250 Coins?

The chest is worth considering if you want its exclusive cosmetic or need Pet Soul Crystals. It guarantees both:

  • Spooky Scary Skeleton breastplate skin

  • 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals

This is a fixed reward bundle, not a random chance to receive one of the two items.

If neither reward fits your goals, consider spending on useful progression items instead. Odyle Energy and Lower Abyss Rift Stones may benefit eligible players who regularly run the associated content, while lower-level characters may prefer Life Crystals, Resurrection Spiritstones, or dungeon tickets.

How Candy Keys Work

Candy Key Fragments can drop from Expedition and Transcendence dungeon rewards during Trick or Treat. Use Substance Morph → Event to craft a key.

Each Red, Yellow, or Blue Candy Key requires 60 fragments. Crafting has a 100% success rate, with one key of each color available per server per week. Use each key on the matching large candy prop near the Halloween event area in town.

Which Candy Color Should You Choose?

Red Candy

  • 20 Growth Pet Chests
  • 10 Battle Enhance Scrolls
  • Best suited to players focused on pet progression

Yellow Candy

  • 10,000 Abyss Points
  • 10 Life Crystals
  • Best suited to players focused on Abyss progression

Blue Candy

  • 4 Odyle Energy
  • 10 Resurrection Spiritstones
  • Best suited to players who need progression resources and recovery items

All three colors also grant five Halloween Candies and five Halloween Cookies.

There is no single best option for every character. Choose Blue if you can use the Odyle Energy, Yellow if you need Abyss Points, or Red if pet progression is your priority.

If you have spare fragments but cannot craft another key, you can convert one Candy Key Fragment into 10 Superior Power Shards. The event rules list no weekly limit for this conversion.

Halloween Skins and the Cash Shop

The Halloween cash shop is separate from the Pumpkin Coin event. Its seasonal lineup includes:

  • Outfits: Monarch of Blood, Midnight Witch, and Midnight Slasher
  • Weapon skins: Halloween Night
  • Pets: Pumpkin Carriage and Little Ghost
  • Wings: Spider Wings

These items require the relevant cash-shop currency or real-money payment options. They do not cost Pumpkin Coins, and purchasing them is not necessary to complete the free event reward track.

The listed sale ends before the November 24, 2026, maintenance in North America and before the November 25 maintenance in Europe. Check your regional shop for prices and purchase restrictions.

If you prefer not to spend money, the event merchant's Special Halloween Chest still offers a cosmetic reward alongside Pet Soul Crystals.

Don't Miss These Item Expiration Dates

Not every Halloween item expires at the same time. Check the following deadlines before deciding what to save.

Items that expire when Trick or Treat ends:

  • Halloween Pumpkin Coins
  • Candy Key Fragments and Red, Yellow, and Blue Candy Keys
  • Halloween Candy and Halloween Cookies

Several rewards remain available until maintenance in December:

  • Special Halloween Chest
  • Odyle Energy obtained through the event
  • Resurrection Spiritstones
  • Daily Dungeon Instant Clear Tickets
  • Nightmare Dungeon Challenge Tickets
  • Shugo Festival Reward Keys

The published schedule lists December 15, 2026, maintenance for North America and December 16 maintenance for Europe as the later removal dates for these rewards. Check each item's in-game description before keeping it past the event.

A separate event, Conquerors of the Abyss, ends earlier: before the October 27 maintenance in North America and before the October 28 maintenance in Europe. Its Lower Abyss Rift Stone rewards use a different purchase method and currency, so do not confuse them with the Pumpkin Coin merchant's stock.

A Simple Plan for the Halloween Event

You can fit Trick or Treat into your normal routine without treating it as a separate grind:

  1. Claim attendance rewards: Collect up to 620 coins across 14 days.
  2. Finish weekly missions: Aim for 235 coins per week.
  3. Choose rewards before spending: Reserve 250 coins for the Special Halloween Chest if you want its skin and Pet Soul Crystals.
  4. Match Candy Keys to your goals: Red supports pet progression, Yellow offers Abyss Points, and Blue provides progression and recovery items.
  5. Use expiring items in time: Check item descriptions instead of assuming every reward shares the same deadline.

If you need additional Kina or items for regular progression, MMOSO offers Aion 2 kinah and items options to explore. Keep your event budget separate from regular spending so you can prioritize the limited-time rewards you want.

The key is to collect attendance rewards, complete weekly missions, choose items based on your character's needs, and check expiration dates before the event closes.
