Novice players can choose between Grass-type, Water-type, and Fire-type Pokémon. There's Grookey, the grass chimp Pokémon; Scorbunny, the fire rabbit Pokémon; and Sobble, the water lizard Pokémon.
Interact with your main character after selection. Each character will give you a different response. Grookey gives you a high five, Scorbunny gives you a fist, and Sobble puts his hands in your hands. Start your adventure.
There are eight stadiums in Sword and Shield, but the two stadiums you encounter are unique to Sword or Shield. Shield players will encounter Allister's Ghost-type gym and Melony's Ice-type gym, while Sword players will encounter Bea's Fighting-type gym and Gordie's Rock-type gym.
Players will encounter monsters in tall grasses and caves when wandering along the route. There are random encounters and open-world encounters. However, you can only catch Pokémon to a certain level. You can beat the stadium and get badges to improve your capture level.
Wilderness area: In this vast area of the Galal area, the Pokémon you encounter depends on the weather in the game and your location on the map. The Pokémon in this section can roam freely, and you can attract them by blowing a whistle, which is very helpful for attracting high-flying creatures.
Dynamax is a new way of fighting. Players can only use this ability once per battle. After using it, your Pokémon will become huge and powerful, and before returning to normal, the Pokémon will only be in its Dynamax form for three consecutive rounds.
Gigantamaxing also changed the appearance of Pokémon and gave Pokémon special G-Max moves. One of the most significant changes in the appearance of Gigantamax is Alcremie, which has a huge layered cake underneath, and Alcremie is used as the top layer of the cream.
Another thing to note is that although all Pokémon can use Dynamax, only special Pokémon can use Gigantamax. For example, Drednaw can use Dynamax, but only special Drednaw can use Gigantamax.
