With the help of Eagon, you'll open portals into memory rifts—alternate versions of maps shaped by Zana's recollections.

 

Each Thread of Consciousness leads to a series of interconnected memory-altered maps, filled with powerful monsters and bosses. More intriguingly, every memory grants you a unique memory power, which grows stronger as you slay enemies within these zones.

 

For example:

One memory might cause enemies to explode with Arc Chain Lightning.

Another could cause Ice Walls to appear periodically or summon Vengeful Phantoms.

 

Best of all: these powers stack! You can carry multiple effects simultaneously.

 

These memory maps are affected by your Atlas Passive Tree, Scarabs, and Map Fragments, meaning you can scale rewards and difficulty however you like.

 

 

Three New Pinnacle Bosses Emerge

Each Thread of Consciousness culminates in a final memory map teeming with powerful foes and a memory-corrupted boss—a being twisted by Zana's fragmented recollections and Atlas interference. These bosses feature entirely new mechanics and offer a serious challenge.

 

Defeating them empowers Eagon to deepen the breach into Zana's mind, ultimately unlocking access to her innermost consciousness—where you'll face three brand-new pinnacle bosses.

Mercenary Challenge League

The challenge league for 3.26 is Mercenary. During your journey, you'll encounter various Trarthus Mercenaries who follow ancient warrior traditions and challenge you to 1v1 duels.

 

Before each battle, you'll get to preview the mercenary's class, gear, and abilities. After defeating them, you have three choices:

 

1. Recruit them to your mercenary team

2. Loot their equipment

3. Banish them

 

Every mercenary is randomly generated—with unique stats, skills, gear mods, and class templates. You can swap their gear manually. Mercenaries don't level up, so you're always on the lookout for stronger and rarer recruits.

 

The rarest of them all are Noble Mercenaries, born of the Four Great Trarthus Houses. They bear the Renowned modifier, which grants powerful combat affixes and is a major loot incentive.

 

Some elite mercenaries use special Trarthus Skill Gems. Defeating them grants you a chance to obtain those gems for your own builds!

 

The league features 40 challenges, with rewards like the Wrath of the Watcher Armor Set unlocked in pieces. Hardcore fashion grinders, this one's for you.

 

Massive Betrayal Rework

The aging Betrayal mechanic is also receiving a rework:

You can now challenge the Mastermind using new fragments, without resetting Syndicate progress:

The Mastermind fight is streamlined—fewer immunity phases

Rewards upgraded, including Flame Remnants and Veiled Chaos Orbs

Scarabs and Atlas nodes have been revamped for concentrated gains

 

This long-neglected system is finally viable for sustained farming again!

 

Other Highlights

The Settlers of Kalguur League returns as a core mechanic, now fully unlocked from the start. Settlement building is removed—expect faster pacing.

New Rune Splicing System: allows you to replace Mastery nodes in your passive tree, enabling more diverse builds.

 

Map Device gains an extra slot for small items

Horizon Orbs now usable on boss maps
