This guide breaks down Evade Hammerdin, a dominant endgame build built for Diablo 4. This powerful holy build carries players smoothly from Torment 1 all the way through high Torment content. It combines Blessed Hammer, Wing Strike attacks and Arbiter of Justice transformation to turn your character into a heavenly battlefield powerhouse that decimates crowds and bosses alike.
Arbiter of Justice form is the core of this setup. Seraph's Wings grants massive movement speed bonuses, and the Season 15 Falling Star mechanic lets us teleport quickly across the map via Evade. You can sustain 100% Arbiter uptime during combat. This build leverages the Berú of Light's Epiphany 5-piece charm set bonus, granting a 500% Discipline damage boost while active inside Arbiter of Justice — this creates an enormous damage spike for all your core attacks.

Every Diablo 4 build has clear pros and cons, and this Hammerdin is no exception.
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
| High AoE and single-target damage output | Build power heavily relies on specific unique items |
| Exceptional mobility for farming and pit runs | Hard to reach full potential without target uniques |
| Overpowered Arbiter form with permanent uptime |
We cover two separate versions of the Evade Hammerdin, so you have clear goals whether you are just stepping into Torment or pushing endgame pit content.
This optimized variant is designed to maximize raw damage when tackling high-tier pit runs. Leoric's Crown is added; its unique effect lets you socket two Soul Splinters, and Mythic quality further amplifies splinter bonuses for massive extra scaling. For details on Mythic upgrades, see our Mythic Unique Crafting Guide.
| Unique Item | How to Get |
| Herald's Morningstar | Drops from Urivar |
| Leoric's Crown | Uber Duriel, Uber Andariel, Tormented Bosses, global world drops. Prioritize crafting this into Mythic first at the cube. See also Returning Legacy Uniques. |
| Enigma | Craft at the Horadric Cube: Jah + Ith + Ber runes + normal chest armor base |
| Tibault's Will | Nonboss unique. Drops from any boss, or craft by upgrading normal pants in the cube |
Building Enigma means hunting for ultra-rare high-level runes. If you don't want to spend countless hours farming, check our Diablo 4 Rune collection to grab Jah, Ith and Ber runes without the endless grind. For general rune management tips, see the S15 Gear Runes and Materials Guide.
Use this starter version once you first unlock Torment 1 difficulty. It uses easier-to-source uniques to get the build functional before hunting for perfect endgame gear.
Note: Do NOT rush to make Leoric's Crown Mythic in your starter setup; save the Mythic craft for after your core gear is mostly complete. Important: Argent Veil ring is REQUIRED for your starter build to spawn blessed hammers on evade. You drop this ring only once you assemble the full endgame setup.
| Unique Item | How to Get |
| Herald's Morningstar | Urivar |
| Leoric's Crown | Uber Duriel, Uber Andariel, Tormented Bosses, world drops. Mythic upgrade is not a priority here. |
| Andariel Unique Gear | Dropped by Andariel |
| Enigma | Cube craft with required runes and normal chest armor |
| Argent Veil | Global world / Uber boss drops |
Each unique piece serves a defined purpose within this build.
Some aspects are non-negotiable to make the build function correctly.
Splinters are a major power source this season. Follow this priority order from highest value to lowest:
This build can run out of primary resource during long fights. Use these fixes:
Transfiguration results are random, so you do not need perfect rolls before playing. Watch for these beneficial affixes:
Run the Berú of Light's Epiphany 5-piece charm set. This set triggers cooldown reduction each time you cast Evade.
The most important charm rule: search for +3 Ranks to Disciple Skills on every charm. Four +3 charms grant +15 Disciple skill ranks total. If you find Greater Affix +4 charms, you can push this bonus up to +20 ranks for a massive damage jump.
Keep Fanaticism Aura and Defiance Aura active at all times for their passive bonuses.
Cast Aegis on cooldown; Aegis itself contributes roughly 42% block chance to help you hit the 100% block chance cap. Hitting max block chance unlocks offensive bonuses from Shield Bearer paragon board and Aspect of Redirected Force.
Cast Condemn to apply the Vulnerable debuff before you unleash hammer burst damage.
Maintain Fanaticism Aura and Defiance Aura permanently for passive benefits.
Consecration pairs with Hallowed Ground, granting 7% extra damage to enemies standing inside the zone.
When levelling, rush to unlock legendary paragon nodes first to gain power quickly.
You pull block chance from three core paragon boards:
Fill the remaining block chance requirement with temper rolls on chest and leg armor, plus passive paragon bonuses.
Argent Veil only delivers a 5–15% boost to core skill damage. This gain is much smaller than the multipliers from Aspect of Celestial Strife, Aspect of Ascension, and Aspect of Lagera's Sovereignty. We replace Argent Veil's ring slot with a standard legendary ring for higher overall damage.
Important note: Argent Veil is still mandatory for your starter build to generate Blessed Hammers. Only drop it once your endgame gear is fully assembled.
100% block chance is a core power spike for this endgame Hammerdin.
First, it activates Aspect of Redirected Force, which gives an 180% multiplicative critical strike damage boost. Since this build hits 100% crit chance consistently, this is a permanent 180% damage multiplier.
Second, it unlocks an 110% damage multiplier from the Shield Bearer paragon board, which outperforms alternatives like the Divinity board.
Condemn is still your source of Vulnerable, and Enigma Evade teleport handles all your movement.
Temper "Lucky Hit To Generate Resource" on jewelry as your main fix. Ring of Starless Skies, Faith generation affixes on legs/boots, and Tibault's Will all work as backup options.
The included universal loot filter hides all normal, magic, and rare gear unless the item carries a Greater Affix. Magic and rare talismans will still show up in your loot view. You can dismantle these talismans to collect materials, which you use to reroll talismans at the Horadric Cube.
